OMG!!!!!!! I have not seen this movie in almost 20 years!!!! One of my earliest memories as a child was watching this movie when my mom rented it for me bck in 1990!!!! I remember it being a really sad movie though. Not gonna lie, i did cry. I dn't know why my mom let me watch it. Such a sad movie with a great ending. Jeez, i never thought i would hear about, much less see this movie again. This brought bck alot of memories.

I am the former owner of Morton (his name is now Rocky). He was not hurt when I taped. Bear cubs are very sturdy and durable. I've been around a lot of bear cubs and have seen them fall from great heights, run head on into things and suffer no ill effects at all. He is now a healthy 4 year old and lives a life of luxury at the world class Nemacolin Woodlands resort with 2 other black bears. Attached video shows me and my latest bear cub buddies.

Personally, I use all of the animal, including the brains and liver to tan the animals hide. To me, as long as two men can beat the crap out of eachother on TV, I see no reason why someone cannot choose to trophy hunt responsibly. I don't have to agree with it, but that doesn't give me the right to say someone else cannot do it.

@RoR0RoRoR0RoR0R0 Bears are predators, elk are prey. If Bears grow too much in population (i.e. black bears in many states) they are detrimental to prey. If prey becomes extinct what happens to the food chain then? Prey should always outnumber predators in a healthy ecological system. If it becomes to far unbalanced, extinction occurs. Trophy hunters can offer an alternative to culling (done with tax payer money) overpopulation while creating funding for conservation and wildlife managment.

@pinz2022 I know that chimpanzees share 95% (according to R.J. Britten 2002.) of our DNA. Yes they are very humanlike and share much of our abilities and intelligence. I am just pointing out that by humanizing animals we forget the real nature of those animals. This can lead to very dangerous situations in animal/human interaction. I have a great respect for Bears (I know how intelligent they are first hand) and all creatures alike.

@educateyourselfpleas I actually saw the "CritterCam" exhibit at the Nat Geo HQ in D.C. a few years back. Truly amazing how the gizmos improved over the years. How they got smaller and more capable with digital technology, lithium-ion batteries, real-time video transmission, data storage, GPS tracking etc. A number of migratory and lifestyle mysteries have been solved in recent years with the marine versions on sharks and whales.

@universalmusac Of course it sounds similar to the rest of the album, it's part of what -makes- it a masterpiece. If you didn't notice, they have multiple songs that have the same melodies. On it's own it's beautiful and sad, but it's -haunting- when you hear Epilogue and realize it's the same. c:
