@GatwickVideo The engine configuration requires more thorough turbine inspections (as in VC-10) so as to minimise chance of contagious engine failure. But that was the design of the '60s and the odds of serious damage was statistically tiny (in 2 cases where it occurred, turbine inspections had been only rudimentary and no vibration tests had been done. There is also question over how many hrs the engines had accrued). Contagious damage can and has also occurred in wing mounted engines.

The main issue here was the landing gear holding out. This is probably the later version L-62M with the more powerful Soloviev engines('71) and STOL characteristics like the competitive VC-10, 727, Trident of its day. While unlike its competitors using Manual Flight Controls! Talk about about genuine feel kinda like the 707. Although not selling well it remains in service today some 40 yrs later as a passenger airliner produced until 1995! Long range and short field! Not bad.

@rrynek Exactly, I agree with you there. However I do like the way the IL-62 looks, that's it. Maybe that's because my first flight over the Atlantic was in the IL62, or maybe because my country (Poland) used to have those for many years. Also, that is the airplane where at the age of 10 I decided that one day I'll be a licensed pilot. :) Take care.

OMG! Finally got the custom button to work. At first the pics would not even show being on the workspace in Eclipse, but would show in my computer files as being there? I had to go to the menu (down arrow on left under navigator, project explorer or package explorer) open filters or customized view and make sure that file extension was not blocked. I just took all the filters off with deselect all under the package explorer. I had to also edit the pictures to close to 40x40. finally worked!

Also, I see you are using a radio trigger,, and do you know what is difference between radio trigger you are using and pocket wizard ? Now come on, elastic bands to hold on the card and matches to light the sticks? .. You could have at least moved on to modern technology that most of us spring chicks are now using ... @SimonTheSmartestOne Actually I was excited to find out that Stallone said in an interview in Germany that he wants to do Rocky 7 after he finishes Rambo 5. And Rambo 5 is getting started when Stallone is done promoting the Expandables. He said he wants to do Rocky 7 because if he doesn't he'll be very depressed with himself if he doesn't. I think that they could BRING ADRIAN BACK, if they set Rocky 7 to happen before Rocky Balboa. That would be doable.

Great vid! Hey is this the same "green tip" used by Delta Operators in Somalia? According to the book "Black Hawk Down" the Special Forces Operators hated these because it went straight through the enemy without allowing the bullet to tumble (because of it's design for armor penetration) forcing them to waste more ammo to drop the combatants. Great Video! The M855 was designed for use against armored personnel. Where are all those 5.56 haters now? So much for the "varmint" or "poodle" round myth. The 7.62x39 can punch through objects such as walls/obstacles much better than the 5.56.....but it wasn't designed to defeat walls. The 5.56 causes just as much damage to soft tissue as the 7.62x39....even more depending upon grain/barrel twist, etc. All thanks to it's incredible velocity. Velocity is KEY to the 5.56's performance.

I've heard of heavier bullets in a 75 or 77 grain with a steel penetrator as well, I wonder if the heavier bullets would have slightly better performance or the same?
